About St. Joseph the Worker

Fr. Mark Ressler, Pastor

July, 2007 is the beginning of my fourth year as pastor of St. Joseph the Worker parish. This year the Pastoral Council, with the help of the whole parish, will begin to develop and implement a long term plan for the parish. Since the world changes so rapidly around us some type of plan is necessary to keep us on a straight course so that as a parish we just don't react to change but rather channel it to meet our needs and goals. The Holy Spirit will be called upon to work overtime in the months and years ahead!
Planning is not just a parish thing but has been ongoing on the deanery level during my time as pastor. As a result parish leaders have come to the realization of the need for greater collaboration among the parishes of Dubuque and Key West. What this collaboration will look like has not yet been determined, but our parish will join the other parishes on "the hill," St. Anthony, St. Columbkille and Nativity, in collaborative efforts in the years ahead. With God's help all things are possible.

If you are a member of the parish - thanks for your support! If you are not a member, give us a call so that we can begin to get to know one another.

The parish office at 60 South Algona Street is open Monday - Thursday
from 8 :00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
