Development Committee Minutes
November 25, 2002
Computer Classroom of School

Members Present -Sr. Marilyn Breen, Doug Olk, Dan Neebel, Andy Neebel

Other Members-Fr. Lyle, Brian Walsh, John Schwind, Sue Krukonis, Jonathan Tschiggfrie, Jenni Malcom, Marlin DeWeerdt

1) The meeting was called to order at 7:19 pm-Prayer was offered by D. Olk

2) The minutes of October 8, 2002 meeting were reviewed and approved.

3) Financial Considerations Update-
Final Payment to Net Smart will be paid once invoice has been received.
Monthly Maintenance fee (for first year) will be paid by Parent Association. Once we have received invoice for this fee, it will be forwarded to Tim Thill of Parent Association for payment. Sr. Marilyn felt that we should purchase Power Point program. She felt there were sufficient funds from DRA grant available to purchase this. The group explored and discussed pricing options. The group did not feel that there would be any other upcoming expenses.

4) Website Policies were reviewed, modified and then approved by the group. Sr. Marilyn will send final version to each Committee member.

5) Website Passwords and Maintenance processes were discussed. Sr. Marilyn reported that there are three main passwords in use; one each for the Parish, the school and the Youth group portions of the website. There is also an "ftp" access password and one for "reports." All of these passwords will be documented and stored in the Parish office for future reference.

6) Website Development/Review-
Overall the group is very pleased with the website. The group discussed some ways of promoting the website to the Parish. Some of the ideas discussed included: verbal reminders during Mass announcements of what is available on the website, greater use of the website for schedules instead of printing hard copies, a "Website Corner" in the printed church bulletin that would highlight some aspect of our website each week. The group also felt that the Parish Council should formally be informed that the Website is complete and be offered the opportunity to review it as a group at one of their meetings. It was felt that the Parish Council might also then consider being the first Parish committee to post its minutes on the Website. D. Olk will communicate these ideas to John Schwind.

7) "Computer Night" idea was briefly discussed and then tabled to a future meeting.

8) In the future, the Committee felt that it would meet every six months. The next meeting of the group will be Monday, February 3, 2002 at 7:15 pm in the Computer Classroom.

9) The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Doug Olk
