General Principles for Parish Web Page Development
Adapted from Loras College Principles for Web Page Development.
The Parish Web may not be used in any manner prohibited by federal, state,
or local law or disallowed by licenses, contracts, or parish regulations, including
(but not limited to):
*General parish policies as contained in the current printed versions of the
parish handbook
*Use of the Parish Web page must be related to the mission, goals, and functions
of the parish.
*The parish web employs a standard format to clearly identify the pages as a
St. Joseph the Worker Home page and provide easy navigation within the site.
Templates are available for each department and organization.
*Each department will designate an individual responsible for the coordination
of the maintenance of the page.
*All pages must use an approved and/or provided header and footer.
*Contact information: postal address, phone number, fax number or E-mail address
of the contact person or department.

to that allowed by federal, state, and local laws and by standards for print

is a federal law which requires school/parish to maintain the confidentiality
of student records, subject to various exceptions. The use of person information
that identifies individual student is prohibited.
The St. Joseph the Worker site is approved by the Parish Council and delegated
to the Technology Committee for planning and oversight. The day to day work
is administered by the website coordinator who works with parish staff and committees
to see that information is presented accurately and in a timely manner.
Parish, school and youth sections are updated by appropriate personnel in each
of these areas.
Role of Website Coordinator

applicable to the site
2. Assure timely updates to the site in accordance with parish policies.
