Small Faith Sharing Groups encourage one another daily We cannot live a spiritual life alone. The life of the
Spirit is like a seed that needs fertile ground to grow. This fertile
ground includes not only a good inner disposition, but also a supportive(environment).
A group of adults (usually 6 - 12) who meet regularly (weekly, biweekly, monthly) to reflect on Scripture, share life, and pray. Some groups also meet during the Lenten season or to discuss a book or topic. Each group develops their own format, but most often the Sunday readings are discussed and related to daily life. Current Church teachings, social justice issues, forms of prayer, the Catholic catechism, service to others, stewardship and evangelization are also frequently used topics.
The Adult Faith Formation Committee will assist those interested in forming faith sharing groups and will also provide possible materials for use. Often parishioners seek out other individuals on their own and start groups.
Anyone who is seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus and an effective way to join faith and life together.
This is what other parishioners say: Being in a small faith sharing group opens my heart and eyes to the presence of God that surrounds me. Rose Brillhart
I love our faith sharing group! It has been a constant in a changing world. We encourage one another to live our faith in our community. Bobbi Martin (If youve ever considered being in a faith sharing group) just do it. Gail Scherr I have learned to openly express my faith and to open my heart
and my mind.
