Baptism

The sacrament of Baptism is a communal event and is celebrated in community. Baptisms are scheduled on the first and third Sunday of the month. On the first Sunday Baptism is celebrated during the Sunday Eucharist. Families may choose to schedule Baptism at any of the weekend masses. On the third Sunday of the month the celebration follows the last Mass.

Preparation: Parents intending to baptize their first child are asked to attend a two pre-Baptismal classes. These classes are held quarterly, in April, October, January, and July.

Families who have already attended the class are asked to come for one session prior to the Baptism of their child.

Dates for 2007 - 2008 include:

July 8, 2007 from 9:40 - 10:45 am & July 12 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm
October 21, 2007 from 9:40 - 10:45 am & October 25 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm
January 13, 2008 from 9:40 - 10:45 am & January 17 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm
April 13, 2008 from 9:40 - 10:45 am and April 17 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Ordinarily the Thursday evening session with include those who are attending for the second time. Contact the parish to register.
