Requirements of Parents

Please consider serving in one of the following ways:

  • Small group facilitator or host family
  • Break Coordinator
  • Provide Treats for one session
  • Chaperone and/or drive for a service project
  • Youth rally
  • Summer service trip
  • Providing transportation
  • Chaperone at Youth Rally
  • Chaperone or cook food for Overnight Retreat


PARENTS :
Parents/Guardian(s) are encouraged to:

  • Parent (s)/Guardian are expected to be present for the meetings on Sept. 16, 21, or 24 with the candidate.
  • Parent (s)/Guardian are requested to attend large group meetings on October 8, January 7, and April 15.
  • Be present at the Call to Commitment (October 28 or 29) and the Celebration of Confirmation (April 20).
  • Pray for the Team and Candidates. Encourage family prayer and attending mass together.
  • Ask questions and discuss material presented at the various meetings.
  • Talk to your youth about an appropriate sponsor and name.
  • See that six service projects and reflection papers are completed, well thought out, and turned in by the required times.
  • Share a service experience with your youth.
