Sacraments of Initiation

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA) - The Rite of Christian Initiation is designed for adults who have heard the mystery of Christ proclaimed and desire to enter into a closer union with God in the community of the Catholic Church. Adaptations are made within the Rite for children of catechetical age as well. This Christian Initiation is a process of prayer and study within the parish community.

Adults requesting to become Catholic and those Catholics desiring to complete the Sacraments of Initiation come together for this journey of faith process and meet regularly on Thursday evenings throughout the year. The RCIA involves four different stages: the Inquiry, the Catechumenate, the Enlightenment, and the Mystagogy. Sacraments are celebrated at the Easter Vigil.

Our parish RCIA has been done collaboratively with St. Raphael Cathedral and St. Columbkille. Many parishioners work on the RCIA team as catechists, sponsors and leaders in a variety of roles throughout the year. Contact Us
