The 31 Club
In keeping with the apostolic mission of the Holy
Catholic Church, the St.
Joseph the
Worker Vocations committee invites you to join a parish wide effort to increase
the number of priestly and religious vocations from our parish and the
Archdiocese of Dubuque through prayer. It’s simple --- just join the “31 Club.” Unlike any club you know of, there are no
dues, no meetings, and no committees --- just a personal pledge by you to
attend Mass one extra day per month for one full year (starting in May 2006
through April 2007) and pray for an increase in religious vocations. Pick any day of the month from the first to
the thirty first. Choose a date easy to remember --- the day of your birthday
for example, or maybe the day you were married. Should you miss your mass day
for any reason, simply go the next day or the next week. This is your personal
commitment --- there are no “31 Club police” to check on your attendance. The
commitment is simply between you and God.
However, if you would like to support one another in this commitment, there
is a master calendar in the main entrance of church.
