Classroom Expectations

At St. Joseph the Worker School We Will:
  • Be Christian

Being Christian Means:

  • Full participation in liturgies and prayer
  • Be considerate of others thoughts, feelings, & beliefs
  • Perform true & quality service
  • Accept the differences in others
  • Treat others as you would want to be treated
  • Be welcoming to visitors
  • Be friendly & including to classmates
  • Honor God by using your talents in good & positive ways

Being Respectful Means:

  • Use good word choice and tone of voice
  • Accept requests from teachers and other adults
  • Use good manners and be courteous including "please" & "thank you"
  • Raise your hand and don't talk while others are speaking
  • Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself using good body basics
  • Have respect for school and other's property
  • Walk quietly in the hallways
  • Greet others with a smile and greeting
  • Be a good listener and make eye contact

Being Responsible Means:

  • Follow direction the first time they are given
  • Come to class on time and ready to learn
  • Bring all needed materials to class
  • Complete quality work and turn it in on time
  • Use time wisely
  • Clean up after yourself
  • Promptly deliver notes home and bring needed notes to school
  • Be honest and accepting of the consequences of your behavior
